Beth Roche is a Sydney-based composer who recently completed a Bachelor of Music (composition hons.) at the Sydney Conservatorium. Her compositional style draws on elements from a diverse array of genres and is typically driven by storytelling or the exploration of small everyday moments.
In the past few years, her music has been performed/recorded by a range of established ensembles including Ensemble Offspring, Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellows, Australian Youth Orchestra, Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra, Queensland Wind Orchestra, Penrith Symphony Orchestra, and The Sydney Conservatorium New Music Ensemble. She was recently the recipient of the 2026 Jenny Bounds Young Composer Prize.
Upcoming projects include Omega Ensemble’s 2026 CoLAB program, and The Cortona Sessions for New Music in the Netherlands.
Beth is also a passionate arranger, having arranged for Sydney University Wind Orchestra and for an upcoming pop artist.
